About the Studio
We believe in talent but even in training, practice and instruction are helping to reveal the talent from within.
Apollon Art Studio is a painting and drawing studio founded by the artist Apollon Avagyan and his partner Christina Monastero.
One of the main motivations for Apollon to open his own art studio was the need to free himself from the routine systems of intermediaries that didn’t have commonalities with art. After many years of teaching and collaborations with other art schools and organizations, Apollon set out to offer students firsthand his customized teaching approach.
This direct contact with the students takes the quality of teaching to a higher level. Before classes begin, Apollon spends time understanding his student’s artistic level and goals, then groups them according to his observations. This process constructs an effective class environment and the highest level of teaching.
The studio started its activity with online lessons, later it developed into a fine arts school in Florence and offers in-person courses.
The atelier is located in the center of Florence, a stone's throw away from the Duomo and the Accademia Gallery. The rooms are very bright, most of the day illuminated with natural light, which is very important, especially for painting lessons.

CO-FOUNDER / DIRECTOR
Apollon moved to Florence, Italy, in 2008 to attend the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence where he earned his Bachelors in Painting and Masters in Set Design. Following a period of teaching for art schools in Florence, Apollon established his own studio. He believes that artists should explore various art disciplines in order to open the mind and master their own profession. Much like the Renaissance artists who had full competence in multiple arts.

CO-FOUNDER / MARKETING DIRECTORBorn in New York, NY, Christina earned her degree in Art History from Pace University. After working in Marketing for various luxury brands within the design industry, she moved to Florence, Italy, to focus on painting. Currently, Christina leads the marketing initiative at Apollon Art Studio and continues to focus on her personal artworks.
